This Week’s Adventure to Trader Joe’s

Hi Empowered Friends!

I hope you are having a great day thus far. Today, I had some extra time on my hands and decided to go on an adventure to Trader Joe’s. I love TJ’s, I never regret grocery shopping here and if I do, it is because I am not an expert at parking…that’s on me. Regardless, I always drive off with a smile.

Reasons I love Trader Joe’s

  •  Their staff is SO friendly
  •  The staff shares their favorite products with you and describes them in-depth
  •  New items arrive to their store, daily
  •  They are creative, just take a look at all of the artwork!
  •  Nut butters, GALORE
  •  The vegetables are an excellent, affordable price
  • Also the flowers, so affordable. Treat yourself!

Today, I am sharing my amazing discoveries! Presently, I am in the process of recipe creating for something special, stay tuned. Comment below any requests or favorites you would like featured and I will make it happen!

Trader Joe’s Finds:

No. 1 – Red lentil pasta – a 2017 pasta flare…so fire.

I love the color red, it is empowering! This organic sedanini pasta includes protein and fiber, a power duo. This pasta is made with one ingredient (organic red lentil flour) and is packed with 13 grams of protein in every serving! A game changer in the world of pastas.

No. 2 – Belgian Endives or “White Gold”

My curiosity set in while exploring the produce aisle. Apparently, Belgian’s refer to endives as white gold! I have enjoyed them once or twice in a salad but I have never incorporated them into my cooking  so feeling excited. Endives are crisp and buttery in texture when raw, making them a great addition to brighten up salads. They’re flexible too, delicious when cooked! When cooked the vegetable’s sharp flavor softens into a mellow sweetness.

No. 3 – Premium Mixed Nut Butter

I love nut butter, but when I saw this blend there was no walking away. This is a delicious mix of almonds, cashews, walnuts, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, and pecans, with just a bit of sea salt to balance the flavor. This nut butter is pleasantly and naturally sweet and so creamy. There are 0 added sweetness unlike other nut butters which are sweetened with maple syrup or honey. Also, the price is a deal!

These are my three favorite finds today! What are your favorites from Trader Joe’s? Comment below, I would love to try!

Cheers,

TheEmpowerist
